Planned Parenthood Admits: Medicaid Funding Increases Abortions!

Planned Parenthood's "research" arm, the Alan Guttmacher Institute, recently came out with a study which admits that federal laws like the Hyde Amendment, and laws in other states banning the use of state Medicaid funds for abortion, saves hundreds of thousands of lives every year!

The AGI study was titled "RESTRICTING MEDICAID FUNDING FOR ABORTION FORCES ONE IN FOUR POOR WOMEN TO CARRY UNWANTED PREGNANCIES TO TERM". Of course, from Planned Parenthood's point of view, giving birth to a beautiful new baby boy or girl is characterized as "being forced to bring a pregnancy to term".

Ignoring the extremist death cult rhetoric and you see a naked confession that Medicaid funding of abortion, such as we have in Washington, massively increases the number of abortions.

When contacting your legislators on this issue, make sure they know that the abortion industry has already conceded one of our main arguments.

Almost 500 Signatures, Need District Heads

The petition campaign has almost reached the 500 mark! The current tally is 487. 500 signatures is just 10 for each of Washington's 49 legislative districts. Our short-term goal is 1,000 signatures, or just about 20 per district.

We are also looking for representatives for each district to serve as a liaison between the campaign and the legislators for that district. We already have a few such volunteers. Thanks very much for your service. We have started contacting legislators and are collecting official positions on this issue which will help us focus efforts.

If you are interested in helping in this way, please contact us at jonathan.bloedow@comcast.net.

Now Over 350 Signatures

Well the signatures keep rolling in. We're now at over 350. Thank you for all who have signed. We expect the momentum to continue. Please continue to publicize the campaign in your own networks, your churches, your local pro-life groups, or simply your common-sense friends.

For those who attend church, please notify your church leaders (pastors or priests) and make sure they know about it. We want to see plenty of signatures from community leaders.

One thing we've noticed is that women are making up about 90% of our signatures. For those with men in your life, please forward to them and ask them to sign also.

Thank you again for all your support!

Crossed the 200 Signature Mark Already!

Thank you very much! This campaign has barely begun, and thanks to you we've already crossed the 200 signature mark. In fact, as of this writing, we're at 212 signatures, from all over the state. For a geographic representation of the signers, go here.

Please keep those signatures coming. Tell your friends, and please get your immediate family members to sign also. This stage of the campaign is all about numbers. We need the politicians in Olympia, even the friendly ones, to be able to point to something concrete that demonstrates the public is behind this effort.

Also, for those of you on Facebook, we now have a campaign page there. It already has 93 fans. Please connect with us there, and promote it to your Facebook friends.
